Our care home in Wimborne Minster is proud to provide Residential Care to older people, along with other elderly and specialist care services including Dementia Care, Respite Care, and Palliative Care.

As a residential care home, we take pride in providing our residents with a holistic approach to care. We strive to ensure that residents receive the highest standards of care, whilst having access to a range of exceptional onsite facilities and a variety of opportunities that support their overall wellbeing.

What is Residential Care?

Residential care is for those who would benefit from a little extra support in their daily life or from the companionship that group living provides. A residential care home provides, accommodation, food, and around-the-clock care, as well as a variety of facilities and activities that contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents.

Our professional care team is available at all times of the day and night to assist with medication management, mobility, communication, and personal care. Some care homes and nursing homes may also provide additional care types such as dementia care, respite care, and palliative care.

Those in residential care are able to continue with their everyday lives whilst not having to worry about household responsibilities and also being presented with opportunities to meet new people, try new things, and spend days out in the local area. They also have the reassurance that carers are available around-the-clock to provide a high standard of healthcare and personal support.

The Care and Facilities Provided at Oakdene Care Home

The team at Oakdene Care Home is dedicated to providing personalised care to each and every resident, and we go to great lengths to ensure our residents feel comfortable and right at home with us. Through a combination of around-the-clock assistance, bespoke care plans, a daily activities programme, and onsite facilities, we can ensure residents maintain their independence whilst feeling encouraged and supported to live their lives the way they want to.

Before moving into our care home, we offer prospective residents the chance to meet with our home manager or member of the senior care team to ensure that we can meet their every individual need. We recognise the difficulties families face when making the decision to move themself or a loved one into a care home, and we want all of our residents and their families to know that we are here to offer our guidance and support every step of the way.

When someone moves into Oakdene Care Home, our excellent care staff develops a customised care plan for them, which details their every medical and personal care need. Care plans are reviewed on a regular basis so residents and their loved ones can feel confident that they are always receiving the right care for their needs. All the staff at our care home are mindful that our residents are interested in different things and have their own unique preferences.

We go above and beyond to build individual relationships with each resident, ensuring their needs are wholly considered, in every way from where they eat their meals to their favourite hobbies. We pride ourselves on providing residents with a first-class experience where they are given the care and support needed to live a fulfilling lifestyle.
