Winter Wonderland Visit

This December, residents at Oakdene Care Home in Wimborne Minster, took a festive trip to a winter wonderland at our local garden centre.

The Winter Wonderland was a magical event which got everyone in the Christmas spirit. The garden centre put together a walk through a winter woodlands scene, with plenty of Christmas trees, snow and of course, glistening lights. It was a sight to behold and could've easily been mistaken for the North Pole. With a range of Christmassy ornaments we our residents were fully immersed in the Christmas spirit.

Our residents love a trip to the local garden centre, so our activities team made a day of it. Not only did residents get to enjoy the festive scenery, but they also had some festive lunch. And enjoyed interacting with the public and seeing new environments. And their days were made when some got to meet Santa!

At Christmas time we love to spread cheer and offer hope to all. At the Winter Wonderland, residents were able to show unconditional love and acceptance, along with the cheerful atmosphere that prevailed from the event. Our residents cherished the opportunity to get involved in the community Christmas Festivities.
