Residents & Friends Enjoy Bowling Trip
It is extremely important to us to make sure our residents at our all-inclusive care home in Wimborne Minister have a wide range of activities to participate in to help with not only their physical well-being but also help with their mental well-being.
Recently, one of our residents asked if we could organise a bowling trip for them. So we asked our home who would like to join, as well as some of their loved ones.
We are lucky enough to have lots of help here at Oakdene Care Home and with this help, we were able to transport our residents to the bowling centre where we enjoyed a few rounds of bowling and a couple of drinks together. All of our residents enjoyed the whole day and many loved interacting with the general public as well as getting out of the home.
Our activities coordinators will put on games and events in and outside of our home, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. To help, we allow the opportunity for our residents to suggest what activities they would like to do and we create an activities programme all around their suggestions.
We are super excited to get back to the bowling centre as it was a massive success and we cannot wait to share more activities that our residents participate in.
