Collecting Donations for Ukraine
The residents and staff were troubled seeing the news of what is happening in Ukraine unfold that they decided to spring into action to try and help the people of Ukraine. Residents, relatives and teams have been so generous with their donations of dry food, toiletries, nappies and wipes and we were delighted to be able to present them to Shelley Rose, councillor for Verwood Town Council who has set up Verwood Community Support Group.
Oakdene Care Home and the local community often come together to help those who are in need - no matter how big or small. We wanted to help the people of Ukraine in any way we could and we are delighted to have received such a large amount of donations. We would like to thank everyone who contributed, and we hope this has helped many people. We will be sure to do many more acts of kindness in the near future.
If you would like to learn more about our services or facilities here at Oakdene Care Home, please contact our friendly team who will be thrilled to help in any way they can.
