Brining Ruby’s Garden To Life

We're delighted to announce the creation of Ruby's Garden, a special section of our grounds dedicated to one of our cherished residents, Ruby. This beautiful garden is not just a picturesque addition to our community but a heartfelt tribute to Ruby's late husband, honouring their shared love for gardening.

Ruby, who has always dreamed of having her own garden space, recently took a delightful trip to our local garden centre with our gardener. With great care and enthusiasm, she selected a variety of plants and a charming bird bath, envisioning a serene haven that mirrors the garden she once tended to with her husband.

The centrepiece of Ruby’s Garden is a plaque of remembrance, a poignant reminder of her husband's presence. This thoughtful addition not only honours his memory but also provides Ruby with a sense of solace and connection, making Oakdene truly feel like a home away from home.

From the comfort of her window, Ruby enjoys watching the vibrant blooms and the fluttering birds that visit the bird bath. Her garden has become a sanctuary of peace and reflection, offering her daily joy and a deep sense of value.
